Soon after learning to walk I began to draw.
I have been an artist my whole life. I am pummeled daily with ideas for paintings. It is my obsession to breath life into the ideas that stir in my mind.

I was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1973. I graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1995 with a BFA in sculpture. While in school, I found sculpture more intuitive to express my concepts than illustration. The complex problem solving skills I acquired while in the sculpture program has continued to be an asset to develop new innovative illustrative concepts. Always passionate about painting and drawing I continued my education at the Savannah College of Art and Design to receive MFA in illustration in 1999. Since Savannah, I have experienced a menagerie of employment opportunities in various artistic environments in and around the Madison community.

While promoting my illustration career, I have designed logos and signage for companies, taught figurative drawing course at a local college, drew storyboards, created digital texture maps, and created 3D models for software companies. My illustrations have appeared in regional magazines, newspapers, galleries, private collections, posters, internet sites and charitable publications. I still provide private instruction to those who have a true desire to develop as an artist.

I currently live in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. My favorite food is rinderrouladen.
